Gahee Chung

Gahee Chung is from Seoul, South Korea, and began her training at the Korea National Ballet Academy. After a year, she got the first prize from many ballet competitions in South Korea. She attended Yewon School and Seoul Arts High School. At Yewon School and Seoul Art High School, she performed as a soloist in ‘Tarantella’, The Fairy in ‘Sleeping Beauty’, Fanny Cerrito in ‘Pas de Quatre’ and so on. At age 17, she completed ‘World Star Kang Sue-jin’s Master Class for Ballet Gifted People.’ Gahee earned a scholarship with the most excellent scores to join Ewha Womans University major in dance. Throughout her school years, she gained extensive stage experience and performed in choreography such as ‘Seoul Dance Festival’, ‘Monthly Performance,’ ‘The 130th anniversary of the foundation Students Choreograph Dance Performance.’ As a trainee at the Joffrey Ballet in Chicago, she performed ‘Viva Vivaldi’, Hungarian Princess in ‘Swan Lake’ and a soloist role in ‘Sea of Comets’, a contemporary work. She worked at Vaganova Ballet Academy in Korea as an instructor. Gahee joined XAOC Contemporary Ballet in 2019.
